I love this app! It is easy to use, there are a ton of options and best of all, with the touch of a button I can email my invoice right to my client and get paid :)

An easy way to track time, invoice and send statements, and more! Customer service is very proactive. I had a problem with time logs, and they resolved it in the next update!

I’m a W9 employee and previously used Google Drive’s invoice templates to invoice my clients. That was a little clunky because I had to manually update hours as I went along and calculate the total price at the end. With Moon Invoice, I can update my work as I’m going along, and the calculations are all automatic, so that’s pretty nice. It offers a lot more stuff than I need like Estimates and Products. 3 stars because I don’t like that I emailed them asking a question about why the timer was being weird and they never got back to me… (I figured it out but thats besides the point).

…when you learn how to negotiate it. This is my third billing app and I like it the best. However, every app has been a challenge to negotiate at first. Once I got the routine down and my contacts in place, I’m really enjoying the speed in which I get my “paperwork” done. A client just left my place (after bringing 16 people for an equine-assisted psychotherapy session) and requested an invoice to take along for billing. I was able to generate one in about 30 seconds. Yay!

Its ok, does what I need. There are some things i would like to see, like the ability to customize the invoice so I could print it out on my preprinted invoices, that would save printing time on the job. Also a little more database capability would be great too.

I’m looking forward to the app maturing because it does what I need it to do. The main feature I got it for was iCloud syncing which sadly does not work all the time. They blame Apple for this, so I guess I should cut them some slack. I wish there were an option to tell it to refresh the data and check back in with iCloud. All in all, it is essential to my freelance work.

I’ve probably looked at 8 or 10 different apps (all fails, for one reason or another) in the past year. They all have vanity quirks like needless functionality or hidden costs such as subscriptions or over priced full functionality. As a systems consultant, all I need to do is to create an invoice for my regular customers without too much hassle, just 50 invoices is a years revenue. A little databasing of customers and invoices with current status would be a nice timesaver. Moon Technolabs gets where I am coming from. A great little app that does everything I need at a reasonable price for its level of functionality. There is more configuration that I really need, it stores just enough info to to make invoicing fast and accurate plus it gives me a billing summary and it stores to icloud. My customers and accountant like the simple professional outputs. Good job Moon Invoices. I am looking forward to using the mobile app and timekeeping function.

I am an IT technitian on the go… I fix computers and also sell used equipment, this app/software integrates incredible with my iMac iPhone iPad, I can easily create invoices for services or sales, I can storage my current customers or simply import them from my contacts. This is all I wanted for 8 years. I hope it gets better and not worst like the rest of the apps.

A gem of an app. I know as I’ve run a business for many years and most invoice apps are crippled because the things that every business needs is lacking in some way. I’ve run a Volvo repair shop and also sell parts on the internet. I bought and downloaded the program to find I could do an invoice immediately after entering my business name, address and details. Strong point: You can edit default text on the fly. For example if I enter “463377 timing belt” the default price I entered when I added the product is in the price box but if I want to change the price I can. If I want to add a note to the entry I can do that, such as “Timing belt changed at XXX miles.” Strong point: You can edit the field names. For example: Under Settings/Edit Titles I changed “Terms and Conditions” to “Vehicle” so I could show year and model of car of the invoice. Adding products to inventory and updating stock works nicely. A weak point is there isn’t a category field to break up the inventory if you have hundreds of parts. This would be a problem if you had hundreds of parts but I found a workaround by entering in the “Item Code” a simple coding system. I used an “x” followed by a two letters for the category. Thus typing “xfi” in the invoice product description brings up all the filters, “xbu” brings up all the bulbs, “xen” brings up all the engine parts, etc. With this app you can print the invoice or with a click send it to the customer by email. On the home page you can click to see your invoice totals by the day, week, month, quarter, or year. I think any weaknesses will get fixed. The app is underpriced compared to the other apps that seem like they would work but make you run out of the room screaming. I couldn’t be more pleased in finding Moon Invoice. For years after abandoning Windows machines for a Mac I kept my Windows machine in the shop just for doing invoices. Suddenly, for $9.99 and an afternoon playing with it I told my wife I had the problem completely solved. Charles

This app is great for small business. You will be suprise of all the things you can do and edit anything quickly. Easy to use. Keeps track of your receipts using your camers is great also I don’t recomend the add on that automaticly enters the amount on the receipts it is hardly ever right and doesnt save that much time anyways. The milage tracker is pretty good and lets you group trips to make one trip or entry.

I was using Quickbooks mostly to invoice my clients and it was far more than I needed. Moon invoice meets most of my needs and it only cost $10. When I have had minor issues, support (despite being overseas) was extremely helpful and very responsive (they always respond the same or next day). I’m quite impressed. I would’ve made some different choices about terminology or flow, but those issues are minor. This is a very useful little app.

I just switched to using Moon Invoice after using Billings 3 for several years. I have a consulting business and this app allows me to quickly generate and track my invoices. I’ve been using Moon Invoice for one month and have had no show stopping issues. It doesn’t seem to have a way to track credit balances for clients (I have one client who likes to pay ahead) and it doesn’t track expenses in the way I am used to, but those are both minor issues to me. Overall, I am very satisfied with how it works and I may add the iOS version to my iPad to see how well it coordinates using iCloud.

Looking for a simple and effective way to manage invoices…Just enough bells and whistles without being overly complicated. Haven’t had the need to use over the cloud, but it’s a neat little function for future note. Overall, it’s a great app for the price. it does what I need.

My nonprofit is using it for invoicing companies for sponsorship of events, donations through our giving campaign and for team registrations of events. It’s been great so far. We are just getting started but it’s been good to see a quick overview of where we stand with outstanding, paid, etc. It’s also a great tool to keep our contact in one place. I love that we can customize invoices, email them through the app and keep everything in one place. If you are just starting out… great one to start with! I’m sure it does more than what I need, but it’s not overwhelming which is greatly appreciated.

I’ve been using Quickbooks for years and was tired of upgrading just to keep some manatory perks…like emailing from it! Finally I decided just to work from my Mac and purchased this app…boy am I so glad I did. It is very easy to use, email or print from it with ease! I didn’t need everything that Quickbooks offered and it took up a lot of space on my computer. This app is everything a self-employed person needs. I can keep track of my finances - incoming and outgoing. Glad I found this app!

I’m another QB user that was ready for a change. Overall, this is a good program, but it appears to lack some basic report fucntionality. And I wonder how that will play out once I start a new fiscal year and I need to get some quick financial totals based on quarters or fiscal years.

I’m deleting this app and will find another. It’s difficult to use and not worth the money.

I must say this program is super simple and flexible. A must have if you are running a small business. It keeps everything very well organized.

I love this App. I hadn’t done a freelance gig in years and got lazy about billing for my services when I was done. I thought I was going to have to spend hours making an invoice template on Word or Excel. Not only did Moon Invoice spare me the pain of making an invoice template, I now have an App that makes billing very, very easy.
